Cercle Royal Gaulois Artistique et Littéraire, Brussels
Tucked away in the Brussels Park, between the Royal Palace and the Parliament, the Cercle Royal Gaulois continues the tradition of social intercourse and intellectual curiosity, which has characterised the Cercle since it was founded nearly two hundred years ago. The membership of 1,300 brings together artists, academics and representatives of Belgium’s large international community. The clubhouse offers the comfort and elegance of its public rooms, a bar and top-class dining room. The Cercle does not provide accommodation but has special arrangements with the Hotel Astoria, which is close by.

Cercle de Lorraine, Brussels
The Cercle de Lorraine is located in the prestigious Château Fond’Roy, once owned by President Mobutu of Zaire, on the Avenue du Prince d’ Orange in Uccle. The Cercle has over a thousand members, including most of the big names in Belgian business.

De Warande, Brussels
The club was formed in 1986 and is situated in a splendid town house, the Hotel Empain, at Zinnerstraat 1, opposite the Brussels Park, and in the quarter of the Royal Palace, Parliament and Beaux-Arts museums and concert hall. The Hotel Empain alone is worth a visit. De Warande is a leading meeting place for Flemish club members and their national and international guests. The club has excellent facilities for members and their guests, and for private functions.

Cercle Royal La Concorde–Philotaxe, Antwerp
The Cercle Royal Concorde-Philotaxe was founded in 1819 when Belgium was part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Royal title was granted by King Albert I.
De Industrieele Groote Club, Amsterdam
IGC is an active business and social club in the heart of Amsterdam. The clubhouse, known as “Industria” is on Dam Square opposite the Royal Palace. The club offers excellent dining facilities, an extensive wine list and relaxed atmosphere. Most of the members of the club are businessmen and entrepreneurs representing a wide cross-section of business interests in Amsterdam and The Netherlands. IGC has reciprocal relations with about 140 clubs worldwide. The club does not provide accommodation but has arrangements with several hotels, and substantial discounts are granted.

Nieuwe of Litteraire Societeit de Witte, The Hague
The ‘Witte’ is situated in a monumental building on the north side of the Plein in the historic Binnenhofkwartier close to the Parliament. Almost all ministerial departments are close by. The Mauritshuis museum is a short distance away. The club offers its members and members of reciprocal clubs a wide range of facilities in the clubhouse in the Plein and, in the summer months, at the Pavilion in Scheveningen. From Monday to Friday the main building is open from 10.00am until 11.00pm. The dining room is open from 12.00 noon to 2.00pm and in the evening for dinner from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Guest rooms are not available at the clubhouse. Club members and reciprocal members can book rooms in the nearby Hotel des Indes and Dorint Hotel at reduced rates if the booking is made through the ‘Witte’ secretariat.

Cercle Munster, Luxembourg
The Cercle Munster was formed in 1984 and occupies a historic three-storey house in the rocky ravine which divides the City of Luxembourg. The Cercle is known for its table and wine cellar. The Cercle takes pride in including ladies among its members.

The Oxford & Cambridge Club and the East India Club offer weekend facilities to London clubs, including the Anglo-Belgian Club, that are members of the Association of London Clubs. When the Knightsbridge clubhouse is closed for dinner on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday, you will be welcome at these two leading London Clubs. Please make sure that you carry your Anglo-Belgian Club membership card and make reservations in advance. |
